Pharmacological Classification / Category: PREBIOTIC AND PROBIOTIC
Composition: Fructo-oligosaccharides
Uses:
• It balances microflora in small and large intestines.
• It is useful in treating Antibiotic Associated Diarrhoea (AAD)
• It aids in treating irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease.
• It provides relief from lactose intolerance and restores frequency of defecation.
• It is useful in treating indigestion, gas, dyspepsia and travellers’ diarrhoea.
• It helps in restoring the normal gut flora; thus improving digestion.
• Inhibits growth of bad bacteria.
• Useful in treatment of crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
Side Effects:
• Bloating of stomach due to increase in gas
• Hives
• Stomach pain
Rare:
• Allergic conditions such as rash, itching, swelling.
Contraindication:
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding or if you have any other Medical Condition, you should consult your doctor before using this medication.
• Drinking alcohol with this medicine can cause adverse effects.
• If you are taking this product for Antibiotic Associated Diarrhoea (AAD), do not use if you have a high fever or fever for more than 2 days (unless directed by your doctor).
• Allergy to the drug or its derivatives.
Directions to use:
• 1 tablet twice a day or as per the Doctor’s advice.
• Any product which contains live bacteria must be consumed at least 2 to 3 hours before or after taking antibiotics, as antibiotics may prevent probiotics from working well.
• It is recommended to use this medication for the prescribed amount of time.
