Pharmacological Classification / Category: GLAUCOMA DRUGS
Composition: Azetazolamide (250mg)
Uses:
* It is beneficial for the treatment of glaucoma(condition with increased eye pressure causing blindness)
* before and after ocular surgery/laser therapy
* to alkalinize urine
* as an adjuvant in absence seizures
* acute mountain sickness
* periodic paralysis.
Side Effects:
* Drowsiness
* Fatigue
* Abdominal discomfort
* Parasthesia(tingling or pricking sensation of extremity)
* Anorexia(loss of appetite)
* Malaise
* Acidosis
* Fever and rashes
Contraindication:
* If you are pregnant or breastfeeding or if you have any other Medical Condition, you should consult your doctor before using this medication.
* Avoid driving while taking this medicine; it is possible that your reflexes might be hampered.
